Kraken joins LayerZero exodus as it switches to Chainlink CCIP

Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has announced its switch from LayerZero to Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) following the April Kelp DAO exploit that saw $292 million stolen. Kraken will use CCIP for its Kraken Wrapped Bitcoin (kBTC) and future wrapped tokens. The move is part of a broader exodus as protocols like Kelp DAO, Solv Protocol, and Re also migrate to CCIP, citing enhanced security. LayerZero's native token ZRO has dropped over 80% from its peak.
